There are multiple ways to check voicemail messages without any special programming to your 3CX Phone System. For special requirements or circumstances, please contact us for a consultation.


Checking Voicemail from your Desk Phone / Soft Phone:

  1. Press the voicemail button on your phone or dial the voicemail extension number. The voicemail extension number is all 9's; so if your extension length is 2-digits, then your voicemail extension number is 99. If your extension length is 3-digits, then your voicemail extension number is 999.
  2. By default, the system will ask your for the PIN to login to the voicemail of the extension you are dialing from. If you'd like to check the voicemail for another extension, simply press the pound button (#) to be prompted for the extension number.
  3. After entering the correct PIN, you will be presented with options for listening to your voicemail and changing your voicemail settings, greeting, etc.


Checking Voicemail Remotely (from your cell phone, for example):

  1. Dial your business telephone number.
  2. Once the auto attendant answers, press the designated voicemail option button. If you have not selected a designated voicemail option button, please contact us via the Help Desk system.
  3. You will then be asked for the extension number.
  4. After entering a correct extension number, you'll be asked for the voicemail PIN.
  5. After entering the correct PIN, you will be presented with options for listening to your voicemail and changing your voicemail settings, greeting, etc.
